If there is one event that every professional magician dreams of attending, it is the World Championships of Magic, better known as FISM.
Often described as the Olympics of Magic, FISM brings together the most talented illusionists, mentalists, and performers from around the world — over 150 elite magicians, each competing for the prestigious world titles that shape the future of our art.
This year, I had the privilege not only to attend, but to actively perform, collaborate, and work backstage during this once-in-a-lifetime event in the city of Turin.
Here is my story.

🏆 A Gathering of the World’s Finest Magicians
FISM is more than a competition — it is a celebration of creativity, innovation, and excellence in stage magic, close-up magic, and mentalism.
Throughout the week, I witnessed acts that pushed the boundaries of what an illusionist or mentalist can achieve.
From grand stage illusions to ultra-clean sleight of hand, every performance was a reminder of how diverse and inspiring the world of magic truly is.

🏡 Staying With My Friend and Champion Magician Niccolò Fontana
My journey began on a warm note: I stayed at the home of my friend Niccolò Fontana, an incredible magician and one of Italy’s rising stars.
Sharing late-night conversations, personal moments, and creative exchanges in his home allowed me to step into the Italian magic scene from the inside.
Turin felt like home thanks to him — and the week was only beginning.

🎠Reuniting With the Incanti Show… and Watching Friends Become World Champions
One of the most emotional moments of the entire championship was reuniting with my friends from the Incanti Show:
• Piero Venesia
• Filiberto Selvi
• Andrea Rizzolini
• Niccolò Fontana
• Francesco Della Bona
These artists are some of the most innovative performers I know.
This year, they didn’t just participate — three of them won world titles at FISM.
And the highlight?
Francesco Della Bona was crowned Grand Prix, the highest distinction in the world of magic.
I had the incredible privilege of watching their acts from backstage, witnessing the tension, precision, and artistry that the audience rarely sees.
Seeing friends achieve global recognition was both inspiring and deeply motivating.

🎩✨ Performing as an Official Magician of FISM in Turin
Another unforgettable part of my FISM experience was being hired by Masters of Magic as one of the official magicians performing in Turin to promote the event.
This role allowed me to bring wonder to:
• the streets of Turin
• piazzas filled with spectators
• cultural spaces across the city
• families, tourists, and locals who encountered magic unexpectedly
Representing such a prestigious event in public spaces was an immense honour — and a reminder of why I chose this profession:
to create unforgettable moments of astonishment for people from every background.

🧠🎙️ Technical Management for Mentalists Competing at FISM
Beyond performing, I also collaborated with two professional mentalists who were competing in the championships : Tom Coss, Doc 3J.
My responsibility: their live technical management during the competition.
This included:
• coordinating videos
• managing timing
• working with the official FISM stage technicians
• ensuring the show structure ran smoothly
• adapting in real-time to the intensity of the ultimate world-class competition in magic
It was a thrilling experience that strengthened my expertise not only as a performer, but also as a director and backstage collaborator.

🌍 Witnessing over 150 World-Class Magicians Compete
Being surrounded by more than 150 of the best magicians on Earth was a masterclass in itself.
I saw:
• innovative stage illusions
• powerful mentalism routines
• poetic close-up acts
• artists pushing creativity to its limits
Each performance added fuel to my passion and expanded my vision of what magic can become.
